For TEN days I've sat staring at this page wondering where to begin.
How the heck do you start a blog?
From the beginning or right now?
Living in the moment...
Every year for the past 16 years I have an annual Valentine's Day party.
I make hundreds of cookies and invite about 400 friends and tell them all that they can bring friends of their own.
EVERYone who wants to come is invited. I used to hate when I was in school and there was a party and someone felt left out.
Broke my heart in two.

Broke my heart in two.
It's an all day open house from 10am til 7pm ish...so it never gets too crowded...not to scare Oprah if she ever accepts my invite!
My long dining room harvest table is laden with Valentine making supplies...which is constantly "busy" the entire day!
Those are my two Valentine's xox Lacy on the left and Milli in the middle.

I make pots and pots of steaming magic tea and platters of goodies for all of my loves.
To me Valentine's Day is not so much about romantic love but more about love for each other and our world.
Over the years several of my friends who live too far away to come have started their own Valentine's Day teas....which delights me because the more "love energy" out there the better!
My dream is for people all over the country...the world...to have love parties on Valentine's Day!
.....when my friends leave they each get a little present from me to take home.
One year it was a silver "love knot" ring with a note telling them of my never ending love for them, my family and my life.
Another year a stamp with instructions to write a love letter to themselves.
...a tiny quail egg with a poem about "New Beginnings"
This year is still a secret...until the tea!
...back to icing cookies

Love peeking at your Valentine tea! I'm dying to know what treat you have for everybody this year. Can't wait to read more!

Just came across your blog and find it delightful that you inspire to spread so much love.Wonder if you have ever heard of Dogs Deserve Better out of Pennsylvania with the tethering of dogs as its main issue. They have a Valentine's project to send valentines and a coupon for doggie treats/food enclosed in the valentine with a brochure of dangers of leaving dogs tied out all of the time...especially in the extreme elements. Senders may remain unnamed if desired. If you would be interested, click on dogsdeservebetter.com. The dogs would certainly thank you.

...I so love Valentine's Day but unfortunately my husband, well, doesnt'. :o\ I remember how heart broken I was as a child to find out that the heart was not the Valentine's shaped heart but rather a conglobulation of valves and arteries - ugh!
...Great idea and so sweet too!
...Blessings... :o)
